As I said earlier semua contestants pun ada kekuatan masing-masing. But what baffled me is the fact that Jac tewas sebab medley songs are not suitable to be performed in singing competition. Patutpun aku ndak pernah menang-menang... asyik-asyik medley lagu Burung Kakak Tua/Lompat Si Katak Lompat dan Bangau Oh Bangau..damn! Why didn't anyone mention it before?. Honestly this is the first time I heard such statement. All this while I thought singing medley songs will give you the extra benefit. Maklumlahkan peserta lain nyanyi satu lagu kau pula nyanyi tiga lagu sekaligus...ndakkah terror tu? Tapikan bila fikir balik statement pasal medley concept ni...saya rasa it depends on what songs you're combining jugalah. To me the trick is to select songs yang mempunyai melody yang hampir-hampir sama dan pandai-pandailah cari bahagian yang bila 'disambung' tidak ketara peralihan from one song to another (kalau lagu-lagu tersebut mempunyai tema yang hampir serupa lagi bagus). Kalau lihat balik medley lagu Jac she connects the next song at the first verse. So ketara sangat perubahan melody...I think if she connects it somehwere at the chorus it's gonna be less noticeable (uiina...macam lebih pandai pula saya dari Ramly M.S...hehe..just my opinionlah).
Tapi bab cara Jac pegang mikrofon tu...dunno what to say lah. Perhaps that's her trademark. Yang first time nampak tu mungkin mengalami 'kejutan budaya' sikit...sebab very unconventional...tup..tup..keluar komen such style is less beautiful. But some people say the act of pulling the mic away is also a sign of insecurity tak kurang juga yang cakap...cheating! Biasalah kan kadang-kadang tu ada penyanyi yang rasa-rasa dia tidak boleh sampai note tinggi terus dia larikan mic jauh-jauh...mau escape! But in Jac's case I think she do it more to balance her voice. But when I looked back at some of her videos while contesting in Malaysian Idol macam jarang pula dia tarik mic sampai dahi atau atas kepala. Perhaps this is one aspect of her singing style, she needs to revise.
Apa pun keputusan telah ditentukan oleh pengadil-pengadil yang maha bijaksana. Kemenangan Vina walaupun bukan sesuatu yang diharapkan tapi bukan juga satu kejutan. She has a very good stage presentation and very poised. Well...afterall she has 15 years of experience behind her (compare to Jac who start joining the mainstream only in 2004). She also performs all over the places....Dublin, Las Vegas...etc. (according to some infos she spends more time performing abroad than in Philippines) Kalau orang macam tu kalah lagilah saya keliru....THE END!
