Lagu "Igitan Ku Gisom Kapatayon"

Tamatlah sudah rancangan tajaan Sabah Oil kita, terimakasih assistant DJ Linut. Sebelum lirik kedua-dua lagu pilihan DJ Linut tu kena kritik, mari kita cepat-cepat dengar ini lagu yang penuh syahdu (one of my all time favourite - lagu wajib hafal gitu). lagu mengenai ikrar si anak untuk mengenang jasa kedua ibu bapanya sehingga ke akhir hayat. The best part of her version is the dialog. Tapi saya lebih prefer versi original si Apai ni sebab gubahan muzik dia klasik dan mengasyikkan, maybe because of the sound of cello, it makes the song sounds so soft, peaceful and tranquil (muzik digubah oleh Apai sendiri).

Handphone Telah Ujud Dalam Tahun 1928?

This guy bernama George Clarke meminta bantuan seluruh dunia mengenalpasti apa sebenar yang dia nampak dalam satu scene video yang dia miliki. Alkisahnya dia beli pakej video Charlie Chaplin berjudul The Circus. Dalam pakej video tu ada beberapa segmen, antaranya segmen 'behind the scene' pembikinan filem The Circus. Semasa majlis pelancaran inilah satu scene pelik ujud, di mana seorang perempuan tua didapati sedang berjalan sambil memegang sesuatu macam handphone (si George Clarke suspek perempuan tua tu sebenarnya lelaki berpakaian perempuan). Footage video ni sedang hangat diperdebatkan di US sekarang. Ada teori bilang perempuan tu 'time traveler'.

And then dia suka bercakap sorang-sorang. Masa video tu diambil dia sedang feeling-feeling konon berbual dengan seseorang melalui telefon (she used some object as a phone). Kamera tu fokus dia sebab mungkin dia ni orang gila yang kira popular di street tu (China Street Hollywood). The fact that other passers by did not bother about her, implies that she could be a familiar face in the neighbourhood (the crowds already familiar with her character, attitude and so on, so why bother, just leave her alone). Perhaps the cameraman said "there she goes again with her antiques, who is she talking to this time?". Ada kemungkinan juga teori si George Clarke, that person is a male, betul.

Time saya kicik2 dulu (belum ujud handphone ni) kami selalu main tembak-tembak ala-ala filem Star Trek kunun (biasalahkan budak-budak). Siap cakap, lipat terus masuk poket...tercangang bah kawan2 nampak...hebatkan imaginasi aku...hehehe.

Update: Ada teori terbaru bilang tu ppuan tua guna alat bantuan pendengaran yg memang telah ujud time tu dan memang bersaiz besar (I think this one makes sense)

Stompin' My Head

What a real surprise yesterday. Out of nowhere, someone from Nuffnang gave me a call. When she introduced herself, I almost couldn't catch where she’s calling from (the background was so noisy due to heavy rain). I thought from Penang (cause the ‘nang’ is pronounced similarly as in Penang). The real conversation started when the lady caller asked “are you free on the 6th Nov?”. I checked my diary, NO, I’m not. She then explained the reason for her asking. Again, I’ve to struggle listening due to the disruptive line, coupled with the sound of heavy rain. All I heard was something like blah, blah, blah, choose you...blah..blah..present you with some gift..blah..blah..some cash (it was loud and clear on this part though...hahaha)..blah..blah..during Stompin Sabah. I mean, what! gift...CA$H!? Did I win something? I asked if I could confirm by the 4th of Nov, but the lady insisted a decision right here right now. It’s like “quick in 10 seconds, yes or no...9,8,7,6,5”. In dilemma huh! I finally stick to the schedule in my personal diary (sob..sob..sob). They pass the opportunity to the next blogger (I wonder who could he/she be? Congrats!). Sighs, I stomped my head on the table. Suddenly I realised I didn’t ask if I could send a representative. I wanted to call the number, but na! I think I know what the answer is. So I just wanna take this opportunity to express my extreme gratitude to Nuffnang. Being chosen is like a big reward itself. I feel like winning a Grammy or something *grin*.

This is the event where I suppose to be presented with some cash (did I ask how much? Alamak terlupa lah...what if it's 10,000?)
