Pembukaan konsert menampilkan persembahan kumpulan pemukul dram…hmm…idea siapalah ni? Kalau konsert bertemakan lagu-lagu hindi mungkin kena juga. Siapa tu Zed Zaidi? Penting sangatkah si Zed Zaidi tu, sehingga perlu diumumkan kehadirannya? Kelakar!
Alif - Hai (Adam) D+
Was it just me or the sound system had problem. I heard people talking while Aliff was singing and Aliff’s microphone was sort of on and off. Aliff performance is nothing to shout about. He looked confuse. Adam presence was no help either and looked annoying. Aliff was even confused after Adam appeared. His overall delivery was under par.
(Duhh semua Sabahankah penari-penari tu? Patut pun macam ada gaya si Kudiring...hehe!)
Stanly - Umi (Datok Shake) C+
When I attended vocal class few years back our vocal coach made a lot of comparison between singing and driving a car…indeed there are lots of similarities!..:=). In Stanly’s case, it reminds me of a driver driving on flat land applying fifth gear; once he reaches uphill slope, he continues driving uphill at fifth gear hoping to reach the top smoothly. It’s either he didn’t know the correct gear to apply and the correct timing to change gear or he did it on purpose. He made wrong estimation and ended up struggling and forcing his way to the top. Hah! Lebih kurang macam begitulah situasi Stanly..:). He often experience vocal disruption due to his inefficiency applying the right ‘gear’. Anyway Ning had advised him to ambil nafas before high note ala-ala tukar ke low gear lah ni sebelum kereta mendaki cerun bukit. Pitching wise, Stanly pada dasarnya tidaklah tersasar sangat, macam juga kereta dipandu bergerak sedikit ke kiri sedikit ke kanan tapi maintain berada pada lorong yang betul (lor kenapa sih ibu Kartini, enak-enak adja suruhin Stanly fokus lebih-lebih kenangin ibunya. Nanti terlebih emosi justeru bisa nangis deh diluar kawalan...bisa pusing gitu...habis berantakan)
Nadia - Kalis Rindu (Elyana) C+
Rambut Nadia lurus kali ini. Sambil menyanyi sambil pintal-pintal rambut macam nak bagi kerinting semula rambut dia. She tried to have some extra special through her gestures (manja-manja menggoda) and it’s not a bad effort. As advised by Ramli MS, she didn’t do the falsetto during the chorus part. She managed; it’s just that it sounds awkward to deliver the chorus the way she did.
Rina - Syurga dan Neraka (Hetty Koes Endang) B
Merah menyala pakaian Rina kali ini…:). Persis Diva! Although she made the attempt to stir the crowds, it’s not good enough for Ning. “Anda perlu kena bermain dengan crowds” Ning bilang. Mungkin maksudnya bawa sekali crowds menyanyi..”yeah! sing along everybody!”. Walaupun suara ala kadar, pokoknya nggak ada nada tersasar dong, enak banget didengar. Apa pun Rina telah cuba menghidupkan persembahan lagu ini mengikut cara beliau menghibur penonton di kelab malam
Toi - Beautiful Girl (Sean Kingston) C
I wanted to say the pronunciation sound very Malay. But put it this way, even Sean Kingston pun exaggerates the words to make it sound Jamaican, meaning its not proper English. So instead of imitating Jamaican slang why not we modify it to our own local slang for this particular song…:) Vocal wise, pitching is not very annoying, cuma semput-semput sikit. Outfit? Nampak sangat bapa budak diremajakan..hehe. As for the music I hardly heard other instruments other than the drum beat.
Saida - Bila Bunga Bunga Berguguran (Ogy)D+
Kalau saya perhatikan betul-betul, Saida seolah-olah cuba menahan diri dari menangis Mungkin dia terlalu sebak melihat kelibat anak-anak dan suami beliau dalam dewan. Kalau sudah dalam keadaan macam itu memang sukar untuk mengawal segala-galanya. Suara terpaksa dilontar ala-ala kadar sahaja sebab fokus telah terganggu. Suara beliau timbul, tenggelam…on and off sebiji orang menahan tangisan. I believe if it’s not due to such feeling she can perform better sebab lagu ni tidaklah susah sangat. Hmm…ada baiklah juga dia tersingkir for her own good
Nubhan - (Izwan Pilus) C
Tuu dia…outfit ja…sudah ada bayangan Justine Timberlake..:) As mentioned before, Nubhan’s vocal tone is very polished for an amateur. But technically he’s still much unpolished. As Ning said he needs to work more on projecting support from his diaphragm. His vocal support comes mostly from the neck muscle which is not advisable to hold or sustain longer notes. Pitching beliau sedikit sebanyak berterabur ditambah lagi dengan beberapa gangguan suara. Surprisingly Hetty gave positive comments to Nubhan. Probably something tells her that Nubhan has the potential to go further in this industry (tone suara dia kot! Kalau buat recording studio memang best ni)

Stacy - Makhluk Tuhan Paling Seksi (Mulan) A
Wow…that was the bomb! Her x-factor lies in her dancing skill. She really blends with the dancers. Stacy can fill up the vacancy as Malaysia very own female dancing performer (female version of Adam). Vocal wise…she delivered as expected for this song.. Sebutan ‘saekkkksii’ with pleasantly distorted voice...mungkin dia, Mulan dan Anita Sarawak ja boleh buat..hehe!. Tidak kisahlah yang part tersemput-semput sikit sebab lagu ni kan ala-ala berlari 800 m. I didn’t quite get the low notes part yang Ning maksudkan. It sounds just ok to me. Onto the downside, Stacy still struts excessively. I examine thoroughly her performance from the video and I guess she shouldn’t prance at minutes 2:46, 3:16, 3:51 and 4:30. She should stick to the planned choreography, the rest she just needs to stay at one spot. She will also save more energy by doing this. But again, the overall performance was fabulous…obviously the best that night! (I wonder if Mulan can do the same by singing live. So far I only catch her miming doing this song)
Riz - Times Is Running Out (Muse) B+
His action is very well planned and quite synchronise with every word he uttered. His facial expression was projected ala-ala muka garang, macho, menggoda lah kunun…the attitude matches the character of this song. Tapi aksi Riz yang asyik-asyik membelai rambut sambil mata merenung tajam macam merimaskan juga tengok...luckily he didn’t stick out his tongue and licks his lips…*LOL*! Vocal wise, some chorus part sounded not that aggressive dan ada tersasar sedikit but the rest was ok! Another good job from Riz, I wanted to give him the same rating as Stacy, tapi level of difficulty lagu Riz kurang sedikit dari Stacy..:)
The critics are quite fair and just this time. I really enjoyed Hetty’s critics, amusing and educational. She has indeed a lot to say only the time does not permit her to talk more. The comedy sketches presented this time were not that funny. On the elimination, except for Stacy, Nadia and Riz I have no objection on whoever is eliminated each week. It’s good for Saida being eliminated after about seven weeks leaving her kids. The kids, no matter how much they understand surely will miss their mother a lot. So it’s good for her
