If you happened to watch the European Athletic Championship 2010 in Barcelona, shown live on Astro Channel 814(Eurosport) from 25 - 30th July, you must have seen the twin brothers (Jonathan and Kevin Borlee) from Belgium competing in the 400 meter event. This is the first time I watch a twin athlete running, it's fascinating, I just can't stop smiling...do they have to be that identical even while running...I mean langkah kaki kiri kanan sama...ayunan tangan pun sama (as seen at min 0:46 on this video - lane 3 and 6). At the end one of them emerged as the champion...probably the other one passed over his reserve stamina to the other..it's like combining one energy into one :=)

Adam determined to keep ‘pop dance’ and ‘pop shuffle’ alive

Kota Kinabalu: Adam of Akademu Fantasia (AF2) fame is determined to continue promoting of ”pop dance” and “pop shuffle” through the boy band group, “B.A.D Boy”.

Adam, 25, formed the band comprising three local youths from Sabah, last year with the aim of reviving “pop dance” and “pop shuffle” that is losing popularity in the country. In previous years, he said there were very few male singers that promoted “pop dance” music like the late Michael Jackson and Justin Timberlake. But in Malaysia, Adam said only several band boys group like KRU, Nico and 4U2C continued the genre. “I formed this group based on my own initiative and interest to ensure the music genre of ‘pop dance’ and ‘pop shuffle’ dance will not be forgotten,” he said. ‘B.A.D Boy’ consists two former Evoke band members namely Mailin Antikoh @ Marlon, 21, from Keningau and Eruande Sahat @ Yan-d, 21, from Putatan and his former back-up dancer, Rayndra Jubidi or Ryan, 21. All are talented and can dance very well. “Originally there were four but one of them, Chaq, who is the brother of Stacy AF6, left my band to be the protégé of song composer, Ajai, in a popular entertainment programme called ‘Mentor’. We have no hard feelings of Chaq’s decision but wish him the best he said.

‘B.A.D. Boy’ is the acronym, for ‘Budak Ada Disiplin Boy’ in which the band members are disciplined and have positive attitude to be successful artistes in the music and entertainment industry. And he said such discipline has nothing to do with their appearance, hairstyle and personal dressing. Adam said his own entertainment company has produced a mini-album that has three songs composed and lyrics by him, which was completed on July 8. “I purposely produced only three songs for the album because I want to test the market first particularly from the young generation like teenagers. The promotion of the mini-album would be carried out after Hari Raya Puasa as we received quite a number of invitations to perform. In the meantime, Adam said they produced 1,000 copies of the mini-album and making efforts of selling the copies directly to fans, and individuals that they meet in functions and events that invited them to perform. The title of the three songs are ‘Sayangku Janji’ that can be heard in Radio Era, ‘Pacar Pisau Cukur’ and ‘Bila Ku Tiada’

Adam as 'Nunchakuman'

Superman, Batman, Spiderman, Cicakman dan akan datang Nunchakuman..hehe. Actually nama Nunchakuman tu saya saja reka sempena telefilem yang bakal diarahkan oleh Adam sendiri.

Khabarnya Adam akan mengarahkan sebuah telefilem yang berkonsepkan kisah 'superhero'.

Bukan setakat mengarah, beliau juga bakal memegang watak utama telefilem tersebut sebagai superhero yang digelar Wira Malam. Menurut beliau watak Wira Malam memerlukan beliau mengenakan kostum khas di samping banyak melakukan babak 'fighting' bersenjatakan "nunchaku". Telefilem tersebut merupakan projek bersama bapa saudaranya di bawah syarikat yang ditubuhkan mereka iaitu Curio Communications (ni syarikat dia yang ke berapa ni?)

Tambah Adam, idea cerita yang mengangkat kisah 'superhero' itu dicetuskan olehnya sendiri manakala skripnya akan dibuat bersama penulis skrip, Farah Alya.

P/s: Daripada namakan superhero itu sebagai "Wira Malam"? yang macam bunyi sang kasanova baik namakan saja "Nunchaku Man"...hehe!

Rambut palsu bah tu kan dia pakai...:). Last time the hair appeared spiky macam tu rambut katun Jepun. Anyway yang penting penari pengiring tetap E-Voke...:D

Adam didik 'Budak Ada Disiplin'

Adam bakal mendidik seterusnya menerbitkan album kumpulan dari Sabah yang menggelarkan diri mereka B.A.D (Budak Ada Disiplin) Boyz (dianggotai Leo, Dale, Lian dan Yandi). Ngam lah tu, saya sokong habis. Kita seharusnya memberi kepercayaan kepada bakat dari tempat asal sendiri. Dengan cara ini sedikit sebanyak kita bukan saja berkongsi kejayaan malah dapat membantu mengembangkan bakat-bakat terpendam dari sini agar dapat sama-sama mengecapi nikmat pembangunan industri seni tanahair. This is what a successful talent from here should do...tidak lupa daratan orang bilang...:). In fact he's been using back up dancers from here kan! (Respek!). Mungkin beliau ada menyimpan niat sebelum ini ..."kalau saya berjaya selepas AF saya akan bantu bakat-bakat dari Sabah!". Dengan hati yang murni dan niat yang suci serta tulus ikhlas, nescaya Tuhan akan sentiasa murahkan rezeki...macam si Adam. (Alamak! terlebih sudah...terberkhutbah pula..:D)...

All the best to his third album, Adam 3, released on the 27 June (tu dia...tiga album dalam masa empat tahun!:o).

Amy meminta supaya seorang wartawan yang membuat temu bual dengan artis-artis untuk segmen kontroversi program Melodi supaya “bersihkan hati”. Jangan bagi soalan sesedap hati yang boleh menyinggung perasaan orang lain.

Alahai, itulah jadinya apabila Amy yang sentiasa ceria dan tak pandai menyakitkan hati orang itu kalau sudah marah. Boleh tahan juga emak kepada dua anak ni kalau tak puas hati.

Menariknya apabila komen yang boleh tahan ‘memeritkan’ itu disiarkan juga di dalam program berkenaan. Tahniahlah Melodi sebab orang akan anggap itu adalah salah satu dari cara mereka berlaku adil kepada artis-artis.

Kalau wartawan sembur artis boleh siar, bila artis sembur wartawan pun kena siar juga. Barulah profesional namanya. Tapi satu lagi soalan-soalan wartawan Melodi semacam sudah terarah kepada sensasi. Opps terlupa, Melodi adalah program sensasi.

“FIRST of all, thanks to the jury,” Adam gushed. “I really didn’t expect it, especially considering the level of competition. I’m just so happy that they saw something in me.”He shrugged off what he thought was the deciding factor that earned him a nomination to the jury-decided Best New Male Singer as well to the public voted category of Most Popular Male Artiste in the upcoming Anugerah Planet Muzik.“I don’t know what it is, but perhaps they saw a complete package from the music to the image and decided that I had something worth considering... but whatever it is, I am extremely thankful for the recognition.”And it is indeed a big deal for the pretty boy who has been severely criticised for having more looks than actual singing talent. He however has kept his excitement in check.The 23-year-old even played down the fact that even Mawi had only earned one nomination, and in publicly voted category at that.“It’s a little extreme to say that because of Mawi, other people can’t ‘cari makan’.“I mean, his aura is undeniable, but it’s not so overwhelming that others no place in the public’s affections.He’s modest about his achievements and takes criticism in stride.Even regarding his recent lead role in Main-Main Cinta which has been described by critics as ‘kayu’ or wooden.“Well... everyone begins from that stage, right? Oh Adam!...Rangkap Ke Dua!...Rangkap Ke Dua!

Begitulah lebih kurang rangkap yang terdapat dalam single Adam Tak Tahu. Tak payahlah saya perkenalkan siapa Adam, sebab ramai yang sudah mengenali jejaka dari Inanam Sabah ini melalui program reality TV Akademi Fantasia Musim 2. Mujur jugalah dalam AF musim 2 sedikit penekanan diberikan terhadap kebolehan menari peserta uji bakat, kalau tidak besar kemungkinan Adam tidak terpilih sekiranya criteria ujibakat adalah berasaskan kekuatan suara semata-mata. Tak silap saya salah seorang pengadil yang menguji bakat Adam masa tu ialah koreografer yang tak asing lagi iaitu Cory (seterusnya menjadi koreografer bersama dengan Linda Jasmine untuk musim kedua AF). Walau bagaimanapun sepanjang AF 2 berlangsung Adam begitu banyak menunjukan peningkatan. Sesuatu yang menarik tentang Adam (selain daripada bakat menari beliau) walaupun tone suara beliau tidak begitu “full of color” (sekadar meminjam perkataan Cikgu Adnan Abu Hassan) tetapi jarang sekali tercicir dari landasan nada yang betul dan mampu mencecah nada tinggi tanpa terseksa. “Stage stamina” beliau agak baik, bijak mengatur langkah dan pernafasan untuk mengatasi masalah kesemputan di atas pentas. Namun di sebalik kelebihan tadi ada juga suara-suara sumbang yang mengatakan beliau “klon” Yusry (KRU). Saya rasa ini semua gara-gara minat beliau yang cukup kuat terhadap kumpulan ini sejak dari kecil lagi, sehingga seolah-olah “terkenan” Yusry (Semasa pertama kali mendengar lagu “Terhangat Di Pasaran” amat sukar saya membezakan mana part Yusry dan mana part Adam) Secara peribadi kalau boleh saya ingin melihat beliau lari dari ciri-ciri Yusri. Mungkin inilah juga yang cuba dibuktikan oleh Adam dalam album sulung beliau. Setelah meneliti persembahan Adam dalam album tersebut, berani saya katakan Adam ada identiti tersendiri terutama ketika membawa lagu-lagu yang bukan dicipta oleh KRU. Mungkin dalam album2 akan datang Adam kena kurangkan sentuhan dari KRU untuk beliau lebih tonjolkan identity beliau tersendiri. Lagu2 ciptaan Ajai, Adnan, Alvy Durin malah ciptaan Adam sendiri tidak kurang hebatnya. Nikmatilah lagu yang dicipta oleh Adam sendiri “Ku Bertanya” (Track 8) yang lahir dari memori putus cinta belaiu dengan seorang gadis (ehemm…gadis yg tinggal di Lido tu ker??...itu cerita sebelum AF…mungkin menyesal kot gadis tersebut kerana ex-bf dah menjadi jejaka terhangat di pasaran sekarang ni…hehe!)
