I found it’s odd and sad that the kid who suppose to sing the China national anthem at the Olympic opening ceremony, was rejected last minute by the communist party chiefs just because she’s not cute or good enough to represent China’s image.
"The first condition was that the director wanted the image to be very cute. The reason was for national interest. The child on camera should be flawless in image, internal feelings and expression" The event's musical designer said.
Here she is.

According to the report she has the voice but not the image (balik-balik sudah dengar kenyataan macam ni kan).
And as solution they picked this girl instead, who has the image but not the voice, to be shown all over the world. Cantik sangat kah?
But when I read this news, I found it a bit awkward. Just imagine China, a nation with one over billion population, just can't get a kid with the right package for the event. Don't you think it's strange?kalau setakat di Sabah, rasa saya berlambak budak-budak yang cute dan bersuara power, terutama yang ambil bahagian dalam pertandingan Sugandoi, Bintang Kecil. Belum lagi masuk yang pergi ujibakat Tom Tom Bak...:)
