Happy 7th City Day!

I was about to say "Happy Birthday KK", but upon thinking twice, KK wasn't born seven years ago, instead over a hundred years ago. It was a very simple celebration last night, started with a stage show mostly by local artistes such as Roger Wang, Atama. Ricardo etc. The only locally imported artiste was Ayu the 2nd runner up of TV3's Mentor (looks like she's better than Ket). Ya...and Fiq was there too, I purposely didn't mention his name cos he failed to make an impact at all (was he sick??). He had troubled pulling up and stretched his voice like he normally does on TV.

Perarakan kereta berhias dilangsungkan, sejurus selepas ketibaan TYT (nasi baik tiada ucapan). Hanya enam buah kereta berhias mengambil bahagian iaitu dari DBKK, Railway Department, Kompleks Karamunsing, I-Borneo, Suria dan Yayasan Sabah. Selepas semua kereta berhias diperagakan, majlis diteruskan dengan persembahan kebudayaan oleh bandaraya-bandaraya jemputan dari dalam dan luar negara. Tarian Poco Poco pun macam ada dipersembahkan, tapi kami kurang pasti dari negara mana sebab kami cuma dengar lagu Poco Poco dari jauh semasa kami sedang berada dalam sebuah restoran di Api Api Centre. Upacara semalam was very VIP oriented (what's new!). The stage is only meant for VIP. Jarak penonton dengan pentas adalah dalam lapan puluh meter! So basically penonton nampak pentas sajalah...hehe. Sempat lagi si Ampal bergurau, "kamurang nampak kah saya dari sana?". Tapi ada juga disediakan skrin-skrin besar di sekitar Dataran Promenade which I don't quite prefer.

Sementara video-video yang lain sedang diedit, enjoy dululah the fireworks display above...err..it's not the best ever diplayed during City Day. I like it when they do it at Padang Merdeka it's more dramatic when the fireworks burst out and disperse in the air amongst high rise buildings
